Truly mediocre! My wife and I are both vegetarians, and decided to share the Budda Feast and the Veggie Delight (or some such). We asked them to add steamed tofu...but the dishes arrived tofu-less. The food wasn't horrible but it was really bland. The service was...interesting. Maybe they were low on plates or something, because they nearly removed our daughter's plate while she was still eating, and continued to swoop in and remove items as soon as they were almost empty. I don't get it. You'd do a lot better driving about 10 miles north and going to the Asian Sky---much more interesting cuisine..

Medicre Food and Slow Service Maybe we didn't know the secret handshake, but three tables arriving after us were processed first. Seemed like a relatively long wait for the two entrees we ordered. One of the wait persons sat with a customer to chat while our minds were screaming, please check on our order. A full third of the plate was covered with salad which is OK, but I don't care for salad dressing on my entree. Four lonely shrimp graced my Shrimp Schetzuan which seemed under shrimped for the price. Sauces were so so. Both spice and temperature were hot and that's a plus. Sauce on twice cooked pork--normally a favorite dish when done well--was mediocre at best. We have no intention of returning.

We'll see So so. We might try it again. Not the worst place, might be worth a try. Kinda unfair to judge it all on one visit. (Well, I've judged other places that way but this place is probably worth another try, especially as other reviewers have liked it).

The service was not good. The tea had a funny taste, and we did not get everything we ordered. The manager talked about how bad business was, I wonder why?!! The Kung Poa Trio was good. My husband wanted to go to Twist and Shout and I talked him out of it. I regret that!

I'm usually motivated to write a review based on a great experience but this time it's based on disappointment. All four of us found the food very bland and tasteless. And to get more water or spicy it required to roust someone out of the kitchen,,,there were only two table including us and no one in sight, Then came the crowning blow- at 8:15 the waitress comes out of the kitchen and starts vacuuming the carpet (they close at 9PM). Could they not wait until the two tables left? That the last time for us.

Bland, tasteless food. Mushy noodles, soggy veggies, greasy appetizers. No, no, no.

This is a diamond in the rough. You can tell how good a place is by the number if cars in the parking lot during the low season. This place is packed every day for lunch and dinner...with good reason! I am a fan of the firecracker beef, while my wife prefers the chicken wings. She claims they are the best wings anywhere! We keep going back...and they keep serving awesome food!

Ok... saying that a place is the best Chinese in Green Valley is faint praise. But it really is pretty good. Their spicy chicken wings are absolutely addictive (garlicy, oniony and a touch spicy). Stick with the classics of take out Chinese and you'll be ok. Very good egg foo yung. They use actual vegetables instead of Veg-all like some other unnamed GV places and you won't end up with the MSG hangover either. No, it's not the best Chinese you'll ever eat but it is better than most of the other restaurant offerings (of any type) in GV.

Had dinner at China View Friday, June 15, 2012. Really not very good. We had eaten there several times before and it was good. The food this time was dry, not very tasty and seemed to be pre cooked. We were very disappointed.

I keep going back - so I guess that means I just have to upgrade the stars from 3 to 4. It seems to be the best Chinese place in town -- and having said that, I must admit that it's pretty good.

This is "the other" sit-down Chinese place in town and much to be preferred over the one whose initials are "C.V." Yeah, this one would be laughed off of Stockton St. back home in SF too, but if you sometimes crave the gloppy Cantonese chop suey, egg rolls and wonton soup you grew up eating as I do, this is the best place to get it locally. Meanwhile, I just dream of Shanghai soup dumplings and dandan noodles all winter.

This place was okay, great wontons, fried rice, they need to freshen their ice tea and make an Arnold Palmer with real lemonade.
